Assistant Professor (CHS) - Madison, Northeast Clinic

The University of Wisconsin - Northeast Residency Clinic, located in Madison, Wisconsin, seeks an Assistant Professor (CHS).

Job Responsibilities:

We are interested in a dynamic family physician to provide the full spectrum of family practice skills preferably to include maternity care (OB). Our strong preference is for an Osteopathic physician (DO) to fill this 100% position but would consider an MD with substantial myofascial care skills. The ideal candidate will have an interest in advancing the teaching and research base of musculoskelatal medicine and collaborating with the colleagues at Northeast Family Medicine Clinic and elsewhere in the Department of Family Medicine for this purpose. Although not required, fluency in Spanish or in a Southeast Asian language is a plus. In addition to medical school and residency teaching activities, faculty members participate as integral members of a distinguished statewide department collaborating on graduate medical education, clinical practice, and research activities.

The successful candidate will provide direct clinical care, supervise resident physicians and other learners, participate in faculty call and family medicine service schedules, as well as have time for academic pursuits.

This is the place to teach family medicine residents in a strong primary care community and in an academic family medicine department with a tradition of excellence. US News and World Report consistently ranks the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health as one of the nation's top primary care medical schools.
