Students are expected to present themselves in professional and respectful manners. Smoking, gum chewing, eating food and drinking beverages at the Nurse's Stations, etc. conveys lack of respect and interferes with establishing an appropriately professional relationship with the patient and staff. The students are expected to demonstrate through their daily work, an ability to interact with patients, their families and other health care providers in a professional, compassionate, and effective manner.
