Electives for Visiting Students
U.S. medical or D.O. students outside the UW School of Medicine and Public Health may request an elective at any of the five residency campuses or rural training tracks of the UW-Department of Family Medicine. Most sites are flexible. Students may request from one to four weeks time and may arrange for specific educational experiences offered by the site. Availability and the number of student slots varies at each site. We encourage you to make your plans early if you need a particular location or time period.
Beginning Fall, 2007: Visiting medical students do NOT have to pay registration fees for elective courses. Visiting DO (Osteopathic) students pay UW registration fees, but are reimbursed from WI Assoc. of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons (www.waops.org)
