Fellow Bio:
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and went to Iolani High School. I did my undergraduate work at Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. While in college I some wonderful volunteer experiences including working with the literacy program Reach Out & Read in a community health clinic and working at a care center for Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I graduated in May 2002 with majors in Biology and Spanish. This past summer I was a Project Supervisor with Amigos de las Americas, a youth volunteer program in Latin America. I worked for 6 weeks in several communities in rural Costa Rica on child development projects.
