Uma comes from San Diego, graduating from UC-SD. She went into medicine having experienced lack of quality health care her family received. Uma is interested in solutions to lack of access to health care and patient compliance issues. Another interest is health and sex education as preventive measures to decrease the number of STDs among adolescents.
