McGovern-Tracy Scholars to Be Honored at Award Ceremony
McGovern-Tracy Scholars Award Ceremony
Tuesday, June 3, 2008
Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center
The McGovern-Tracy Scholars Program honors and rewards University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health students and residents who exemplify the values of community service and leadership. These scholarships honor Michele Tracy, whose spirit and record of service to communities typifies McGovern-Tracy Scholars. Michele was a second-year UW medical student who was tragically killed while participating in an educational service program in Malawi, Africa in July 1999. This year's committee met on Thursday, March 24 and selected six scholars including five 2nd year medical students and one 2nd year Family Medicine resident.
Please plan to join us on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center for dinner and an awards ceremony to honor the scholars listed below. (An invitation will be forthcoming).
- Deborah Dreyfus, MD - 2nd year Family Medicine resident at Northeast Family Medical Center
- 2nd Year Medical Students: Michelle Buelow, Nathaniel Chin, Joseph Hansen, Micaela O'Neil and Kevin Thao
