Introducing Liz Schumann
Elizabeth "Liz" Schumann began working in the Department of Family Medicine Research Program in February. Liz provides administrative support for the Department of Family Medicine research program, the small grant program, and faculty researchers. She is also working with Mike Fleming, MD, MPH to support the Research Fellowship program by co-coordinating recruitment, scheduling seminars, submitting journal articles and grant applications for the fellows and providing overall program support.
Before Liz came to the Department of Family Medicine, she was employed by Alliant Energy as an administrative support staff. Prior to that position, she was employed by the University Avenue Day Care for 20 years doing early childhood education.
Liz says she finds her new position very challenging and rewarding. Please welcome Liz to the DFM!
