  1. Google Maps are still in beta testing, but you can get to them from http://maps.google.com ; or on the main Google page, click more then maps. Besides the regular street mapping diagrams, you can click on the Satellite link and see a satellite view of the area. The Hybrid link overlays street markings on the satellite image. Cool!

  2. Google Scholar. Another recent addition is the ability to search specifically for scholarly literature, including peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, preprints, abstracts and technical reports from all broad areas of research.

  3. Froogle Google. This feature compares product pricing from various web sites. It's recommended to put in a product/model and be as specific as possible.

  4. I'm Feeling Lucky. People are often curious about this button located right next to the Google Search button. The "I'm Feeling Lucky" button will automatically open up the web site of the first "hit" on the search list. If you are the gambling type, you might like this.

  5. Google News. Google now publishes up-to-the-minute news stories from around the world. When you have a quick minute to see what is happening in the world, try this. Also note that on the left side, there is a Health category. Get your latest consumer health articles from this link.
