2005 Summer Research & Clinical Assistantship (SRCA)

Penny Anderson

Each summer, the Department of Family Medicine sponsors the SRCA program, which matches interested medical students with faculty who are eager to have students work with them on people-oriented, clinically relevant, hands-on research projects. For eight weeks, in addition to working with the faculty in the clinical setting, students attend workshops at the Department to learn research concepts and skills.

Another successful SRCA program ended on July 22, culminating with the medical students' project presentations. Jon Temte, MD, PhD, is the program director. He is assisted by the following instructors: Mary Beth Plane, PhD, Bruce Barrett, MD, PhD, Alexandra Adams, MD, PhD and Michael Grasmick, PhD. Penny Anderson is the program coordinator.
