Changes are Happening in HR

Contributors: Sandy Rindy

With mixed emotion we would like to announce that Dennis Feggestad will be retiring from our Department after more than 34 years of state service. We will miss Dennis, but are excited for him as he enters this new chapter in his life. Dennis took over as our Human Resource Manager at the Department of Family Medicine on July 28, 2002. During his short time with us he has been actively involved in many committees:

  • The Smoke Free campaign at our teaching clinics
  • The DFM-Health and Safety Committee
  • The Department Fitness Matters and
  • He brings our annual Alumni Hall food pantry donations to Grace Episcopal Church.

Thank you, Dennis, from those of us in Human Resource and the Department of Family Medicine!

With the retirement of Dennis Feggestad on August 8th, and the hiring of a new manager, there will be a few transitions taking place in Human Resources. One important transition is that Colleen Nash will now be managing academic staff recruitment. Colleen has had over 9 years of experience with classified recruitment, and has a very good working relationship with the staff at the School of Medicine and Public Health. She will also continue to manage the Unclassified Leave Accounting system. Colleen looks forward to this new challenge, and we in Human Resources welcome her expertise and enthusiasm.

Thank you, in advance, for your patience and understanding during this period of change, and stay tuned for other transitions in the Department's Human Resource area.
