UW Health Family Medicine Clinics Achieve Immunization Goals
All UW Health Department of Family Medicine clinics are audited every six months to determine the percent of children who are completely up to date with standard immunizations by the time they turn two years of age. The DFM target goal is 85% up-to-date. Results of the audit for the first six months of 2007 indicated that 10 clinics had achieved this goal. Congratulations to:
- UW Health Belleville
- UW Health Columbus
- UW Health DeForest
- UW Health Eau Claire
- UW Health Monona
- UW Health Northeast
- UW Health Oregon
- UW Health Verona
- UW Health Wausau
- UW Health Wingra
In addition, UW Health Verona is recognized for their consistent performance in achieving this goal for the last four measurement cycles (since 2004) and UW Health Wausau for their achievement over three cycles (since 2005). Both UW Health DeForest and UW Health Monona made significant improvement in their performance. These clinics cited the systems of care that empowered their nursing staff and also consistent registry use as explanations for their 30% jump in overall performance. The DFM, as a total practice, improved from 76% to 84% up to date for all children.
