New Belleville Clinic Now Open
After a year of construction and anticipation, the new UW Health Belleville Family Medicine Clinic opened its doors to patients on October 3, 2011.
The 20,000-square-foot Prairie-style facility replaces the existing Belleville Family Medical Clinic, which has been located in downtown Belleville for 30 years.

All of the existing clinic’s 14 clinicians, residents, and staff are now at the new location, which also offers laboratory and X-ray services, an adult and pediatric waiting area, health and nutrition education, and two conference centers for group classes and community events.
The clinic’s healing environment will also include a year-round Healing Garden to help relieve stress and invigorate patients.
As the community’s needs grow, the clinic may also add additional medical staff and services in the future.
“We are very excited about opening this state-of-the-art family practice clinic for the citizens of Belleville and surrounding communities,” said Medical Director Stephen Olcott, MD. “We forward to continuing and building upon the excellent care Belleville Family Medicine has provided over the past 30 years.”
Belleville Family Medicine is situated on five acres of land generously donated by local business owners Rick Francois, Ed Francois, and Daryl Fox.
It follows environmentally friendly building concepts, including solar hot water, in pursuit of certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, a prestigious honor for environmentally-friendly construction, offered by the U.S. Green Building Council.
The clinic will have a formal ribbon cutting and open house for the community on Sunday November 13, 2011, from noon to 4 PM.
