DFM Ranks Third in the Country
Have you seen our recent ranking? Our University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine was ranked third best in the country in the Family Medicine specialty by the U.S. News and World Report in their annual ranking of schools of medicine. Up from 5th best last year, we share our new 3rd place ranking with the University of Missouri-Columbia.
Others with top rankings in the Family Medicine specialty include the University of Washington as 1st, followed by the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, 2nd. We were followed in the ranking by the Oregon Health and Science University, University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, the University of New Mexico, Duke University (NC), East Carolina University (Brody) (NC), and the University of California-San Francisco respectively.
Other rankings in the report for the University of Wisconsin include:
- The University of Wisconsin-Madison tied for 6th place with Duke University (NC), East Carolina University (Brody) (NC), and the University of Colorado-Denver and Health Sciences Center as top schools for primary care.
- The University of Wisconsin - Madison tied with Boston University for 28th place as a top school of medicine for research.
We can be proud of our University, and especially proud of the work we do in our University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine!
