Randy Brown, MD was elected President of the Wisconsin Society of Addiction Medicine which is the Wisconsin State Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). ASAM is the largest national professional organization of providers (primarily physicians, including psychiatrists and primary care providers) for care to individuals with substance use disorders.


Michael Fleming, MD, MPH was recently approved by the University Of Wisconsin Board Of Regents to the UW School of Medicine and Public Health Oversight and Advisory Committee for a four year term.


David Rabago, MD, who has published several research papers on nasal irrigation, provided information on this subject for a story on NPR's
Morning Edition in February.

Jonathan L. Temte, MD, PhD served at the following conferences:

  • He was on the Clinical Preventive Services Working Group at the AAFP (American Academy of Family Physicians) Commission on Science Meeting in Las Vegas, NV.

  • He was part of the Wisconsin Pandemic Influenza Antiviral Purchase Strategy Summit in Madison, WI.

  • He was an invited Consultant to the CDC (Center for Disease Control) meeting on "Recommendations for the Identification and Public Health Management of Persons with Chronic Hepatitis B Infection" in Atlanta, GA.

  • He attended the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting as AAFP liaison in Atlanta, GA.

  • He was also a panelist at the American Academy of Pediatrics/American Medical Association 2007 National Immunization Congress in Chicago, IL.
