Technology Requirements

All students are required to have their own laptop upon entry into the program and access to a high-speed internet connection. Your laptop must have a screen size of AT LEAST 13 inches.
"Netbooks" are NOT suitable, as they are often designed with screen sizes between 8'' and 10''.

A laptop purchased in the last 2-3 years will likely meet the minimum specifications. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the minimum specifications are met. Please refer to System Requirements for New UW-Madison Students.
