Primary Care Faculty Development Program (PCFDP)

Important Note:The Primary Care Faculty Development Program has come to the end of our current funding. However we are actively seeking funding to continue the PCFDP Fellowship as well as the other educational programs we offer. We encourage those who are interested to apply. The Primary Care Faculty Development Program (PCFDP) is aimed at preparing primary care faculty for teaching and leadership roles in community-based settings and for enhancing community-based research skills.

The PCFDP offers physicians who teach medical students and residents a variety of learning opportunities to enhance their teaching skills:

The PCFDP curriculum consists of six core content areas:

  • Teaching and learning in medicine,
  • Evidence-Based medicine,
  • Addressing health disparities,
  • Practice-based quality improvement,
  • Professional development/leadership, wellness, and
  • Technologies for teachers

PCFDP is supported by the:
