Primary Care Faculty Development Program (PCFDP)

The Primary Care Faculty Development Program (PCFDP) is aimed at preparing primary care faculty for teaching and leadership roles in community-based settings and for enhancing community-based research skills.

The PCFDP offers physicians who teach medical students and residents a variety of learning opportunities to enhance their teaching skills:

The PCFDP curriculum consists of six core content areas:

  • Teaching and learning in medicine,
  • Evidence-Based medicine,
  • Addressing health disparities,
  • Practice-based quality improvement,
  • Professional development/leadership, wellness, and
  • Technologies for teachers

PCFDP is supported by the:
