Principal Investigator (PI): Kristen Lerberg, MD
PI Department: UW Department of Family Medicine
Project Study Title: WREN Study on International Adoption in Family Practice
Summary of Study: Internal adoption is increasingly common in communities across the United States resulting in the arrival of 22,884 children in 2004. Because of this, the Wisconsin Research and Education Network (WREN) at the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and the UW Department of Pediatrics are conducting a brief survey on attitudes and approaches to the care of families around issues of international adoption.
Objective: Results from this study will be employed to assess the current approaches and attitudes of physicians regarding medical aspects of international adoption and may be used from a similar national survey and/or to create educational toolkits for physicians to use in the point-of-care use with families who are created through international adoption.
Eligibility: All UW DFM and Pediatrics physicians and residents
