The University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, UW Health Portage Clinic, located in Portage, Wisconsin, seeks a Clinical Physician. This is the place to practice family medicine in a strong primary care community.
The UW Health Portage Clinic is interested in a Family Medicine physician to provide the full spectrum of outpatient family medicine skills. This position will also be involved in clinical teaching of medical students and other learners.
Duties will include provision of clinical care of patients and clinical teaching/supervision of medical students and other learners. Participation in clinical faculty call schedule (phone call only), nursing home visits, departmental meetings, and performing administrative duties as necessary in the position. This position may also have the opportunity to work on collaborative initiatives with other parts of UW Health.
The preferred candidate will either have experience teaching and working with a diverse population or will welcome a commitment to teaching and working with a diverse population.

Certified by or eligible for certification by the American Board of Family Medicine

The trail is open year round for hiking, backpacking and snowshoeing.
Portage has a great small-town community vibe, while also being near other cities like Wisconsin Dells (20 min) and Madison (35 min) to provide even more activities.
