Jill Mallory, MD grew up in Athens Georgia, and is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). Jill has a keen interest in integrative medicine, and received a Dean's Summer Research Fellowship grant in 2002 for a project exploring Patient and Faculty Interest in Complementary and Alternative Medicine at MCG. She served on a workgroup to make integrative medicine services more available to MCG patients and the public. Jill has also been involved in community service as a hotline counselor for the Sexual Assault Center of Northeast Georgia, a student leader at the Salvation Army Clinics, and a community outreach volunteer for Covering Kids/Peachcare, the state-sponsored health insurance program for children. Jill served as President of the MCG chapter of the American Medical Women's Association. Her interests within Family Medicine include human lactation, care of the mother-child dyad, home visiting, and a feminist approach to women's healthcare. Her outside interests including international travel, yoga, hiking and backpacking, live music, vegetarian cooking, and political activism. Jill and her husband, Ernie Dodd, a PhD in molecular medicine and genetics, recently welcomed a baby girl, Iris Lucille, into their family. After residency, Jill will be doing a 2-year fellowship in Integrative Medicine here in Madison.
