Housing
There are a variety of housing options available, off-site. Owing to the unavailability of a previously used ranch home, students are placed in a fully-furnished 2 bedroom apartment. Any students who can stay with family or friends in the Appleton area are encouraged to do so. Future options may include staying with families in the Appleton area who have rooms available for students.
Meals
The students are responsible for meals. The apartment does have a full-sized refrigerator/freezer and oven/stove. On Fridays, some lunches will be provided at the residency clinic.
Telephones
Phone lines are not typically available as most students have cell phones. Hook up for the interenet is available during clinic hours (at UW Health Residency clinic). Many establishments in Appleton have WIFI availability. Soon most of downtown Appleton and the surrounding area will have WIFI access.
Mail from the University is usually forwarded to the clerkship coordinator. Students can give the following address to family/friends as a mailbox will be provided at the residency clinic. Students are welcome to pick mail up at the clinic during clinic hours (Monday through Thursday, 7am-9pm; Saturday, 9-noon)
