Augusta Family Medicine Rural Training Site
The Augusta Family Medicine Residency Program is a separately matched alternative rural training site. Residents maintain a rural practice at the Augusta clinic for the entire three years of residency, yet participate in the full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient rotations in Eau Claire.
"As a rural training site Augusta is top notch. It is rewarding to take care of this small community where I am truly able to function as a family physician. I enjoy having multiple generations of a family see me for their care. I also believe that I am getting excellent training to become an outstanding family physician when I graduate. If I had it to do again I would still choose Augusta as my training site." Ronda Morgan Azelton, DO, 2008
The program offers the opportunity and challenge of learning to practice medicine in a small, friendly clinic that occupies an important place in the community.
