Renee was born in Thief River Falls, MN, and grew up in rural Minnesota. She worked her way through college as a hospital telephone operator and as a nurse’s aide. While in medical school she completed a one year fellowship for Osteopathic Philosophy and Practices. She and her husband also had two children during medical school, one of whom has autism. This sparked a special interest in autism spectrum disorders and in teaching children about health. Renee is an avid baker and swimmer, and she loves a good puzzle. She plans to establish a full spectrum family practice in rural Wisconsin or Minnesota that includes Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, obstetrics, and Natural Family Planning.
