Medical school: Medical College of Wisconsin
Undergraduate: University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
Tom was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is an Army veteran and attended UW Eau Claire for his undergraduate degree. He then went to the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He is interested in doing a sports medicine fellowship after his residency. He is an avid skydiver with over 3,000 jumps.

Medical school: University of Texas Medical Branch
Undergraduate: Texas A&M University
Lynnette was born in Osceola, WI. She graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Marine Biology then attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She is excited to no longer be living with the fire ants of Texas. Lynnette's professional interests include asthma, obesity management, and rural medicine. Outside of medicine, Lynnette loves to spend time with family and friends, reading, singing, and playing piano. She also uses her dog, who she is training as a therapy dog, as her main motivation for exercise and a great excuse for being outside.

Medical school: Chelyabinsk Medical Academy, Russia
Elena was born in Russia and completed a family practice residency there before immigrating to the United States. Her clinical interests include geriatrics and internal medicine. She plans to practice in Wisconsin.
Elena enjoys spending time with her young daughter, gardening and knitting.

Nataliya Danylkova M.D. »
Medical school: Ternopil Medical Academy, Ukraine
Nataliya graduated from medical school in Ternopil, Ukraine. After finishing her ophthalmology residency, she practiced in a regional hospital and worked as a Medical Director for the non-profit organization "Caritas" in her city. After coming to the United States, Nataliya obtained a Masters in Business Administration degree from Metropolitan State University, Minneapolis, MN. She also worked as a senior research fellow at the Ophthalmology department, University of Minnesota, studying neuroprotection in Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy.
Her current professional interests include international medicine and geriatrics. She enjoys outdoor activities, snowboarding, hiking, dancing, cooking, music and theater.

Medical school: Medical College of Wisconsin
Undergraduate: University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee
Tracy grew up in southern Wisconsin. He graduated from UW Milwaukee for his undergraduate training and then completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Tracy has a strong interest in international medicine and plans to share his medical practice with rural medicine and international medicine. He is interested in the full scope of family practice including obstetrics.
Tracy enjoys spending his spare time on the many beautiful lakes around Eau Claire which is what drew him to this area.

Medical school: Grodno State Medical Institute, Belarus; State Institute of Oncology and Radiology, Belarus
Undergraduate: Nursing School, Hmelnitski, Ukraine
Tatsiana was born in the Ukraine and did training in Oncology before immigrating to the United States. Her clinical interests include Preventive Medicine and cancer screening. Tatsiana likes to spend time with her family, photography and listening to classical music. She plans on practicing the full scope of Family Medicine in the Midwest.

Medical school: University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health
Undergraduate: University of Houston
Nadine was born in Houston, Texas and spent most of her summers on her grandparents' farm near Nacogdoches, Texas. She attended the High School for the Health Professions. She received her bachelor's in Psychology from the University of Houston. She served in the Peace Corps at Kiraeni Girls' Secondary School in Tanzania, East Africa, where she taught Biology and AIDS awareness, participated in Cookery and Needlework classes, learned Swahili, and climbed Kilimanjaro with another volunteer and eleven students. Eight months prior to Peace Corps, and on her return, she lived in Madison, WI, working with people who have developmental disabilities. She graduated from UW Medical School.
She plans to stay in Wisconsin and practice in a rural setting. Her professional interests are in the areas of adult medicine and obstetrics. She is married and enjoys gardening, canoeing, and reading literature.

Medical school: Wayne State University School of Medicine
Undergraduate: University of Dallas
John has lived all over the United States; however, Wisconsin is his favorite state. He graduated from University of Dallas in Irving, Texas, with a BS in Physics. He earned a PhD in Physics from the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque and is also a graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan. He plans to practice family medicine in a rural area in Wisconsin. He enjoys the rural countryside, gardening, and spending time with his wife, daughter, and the family dog.

Medical school: Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine
Sou was born and raised in Laos and immigrated to the United States when he was three years old. He lived in Springfield, Illinois as well as Long Beach, California. The town where he was situated the longest was in Stockton, California.
Sou took time sampling several medical specialties and sub-specialties before he realized family medicine and pediatrics were the best fit for him. His medical interest is in pediatric immunizations and rural health care. He is fluent in Hmong and would love to come back to his community to set up a private practice and serve this underrepresented minority group.
He is active in several arenas: He was in a band in high school and was involved in many sports ranging from soccer to basketball and badminton.
Hobbies include music, sports, and watching movies.
James Lopez M.D. »
Medical school: University of Florida - Gainesville
Undergraduate: University of Florida - Gainesville
James’ fascination of aircraft and photography evolved into owning and operating an aerial photography business. In 1993, after reaching the decision to pursue a career in medicine, he closed down his business, moved to Florida, and took the appropriate steps to gain admission into college. It was the combination of musculoskeletal anatomy, neurology, body mechanics, and the human component that gripped him. James performed research with the University of Florida Department of Orthopedics and was elected the President of the Orthopedic Interest Group. James established the school’s first Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Interest Group.
Throughout his life, he has been shaped by his interests, experiences, and setbacks. It is all of these experiences that define his character and determination and his desire to help those in need. At this time, his interests are in sports medicine and spinal cord injuries, however, he has come to realize that his character and interests will continue to evolve just as they have throughout his life.

Medical school: University of St. Eustatius School of Medicine
Undergraduate: University of Virginia
Nicole was born and raised in Culpeper, VA. She has a particularly keen interest in Emergency Medical Services and has spent many years volunteering as an NREMPT-Paramedic. She also enjoys running, cooking, entertaining friends, and teaching.
Following residency, she would like to pursue a fellowship in Emergency Medicine.
Vinay Sharma M.D. »
Medical school: Windsor University
Undergraduate: University of Western Ontario
Vinay was born in Northern Ireland and raised in Toronto, Canada. Since childhood, he knew he wanted a career that would compliment his passions of teaching and medical research. After completing his undergraduate degree in Biology, he enrolled at Windsor University School of Medicine. Vinay chose to pursue a residency in family medicine because of the diversity of the field. He chose Wisconsin because of the quality and reputation of the UW graduates.
Vinay enjoys traveling, cooking, playing golf and the guitar.

Medical school: Medical Faculty at Trakia University, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria
Diana was born in Sliven, Bulgaria. After graduating medical school in Bulgaria, she worked for 1 ½ years as a general practitioner and then as an ophthalmologist. It has been a lifelong dream to live in the U.S. and in 2004, Diana and her daughter were able to join with friends and move to Florida. She feels family medicine offers her the most interesting spectrum of patient care and preventative medicine.
Her special interests include: books, theater, pets, nature, and walking.
