Sean Huff, DO, a third-year resident in the Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine Residency Program, was the first resident ever to receive an Aspirus “Hero” award.
The award is given out by the Aspirus Health Foundation, and recipients are chosen by patients or family members.
A grateful family member selected Dr. Huff—and made a gift in his honor—for treating her late husband with respect, care and compassion at Aspirus Wausau Hospital where he was a patient on the Medical/Adolescent/Pediatrics Unit and the Palliative Care Unit.
Dr. Huff (pictured above, front row center) was recognized during a surprise ceremony at the Aspirus Wausau Family Medicine clinic.
