Third year

  1. Xiao Feng MD

    Xiao Feng, MD earned her medical degree at Shanxi Medical College, China. She came to the U.S. and completed a master’s degree in laboratory medicine and pathology in 2004, and trained in a pre-residency fellowship program in the department of Neurology and Ophthalmology of Michigan State University. She is a family woman who enjoys interior design and volleyball.

  2. Erin Lambert DO

    Erin R. Lambert, DO earned her bachelor’s degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Winona State University, Winona MN. She completed her medical degree at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, WV. She is a wife and mother who enjoys hiking and gardening.

  3. John Lambert DO

    John Lambert, D.O. earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, Morgantown WV, and a medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg, WV. He and his wife, Erin enjoy family time. John enjoys his dogs, golf, and sports.

  4. Clarissa Renken DO

    Clarissa J. Renken, DO is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter MN with a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry and chemistry. She completed her medical degree at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, Lewisburg WV. A music lover, she plays piano and saxophone. She has a special interest in international medicine, especially mission trip opportunities.

  5. Shagun Sharma MD

    Shagun Sharma, MD completed her undergraduate work at the University of California, Davis, in Biotechnology. She earned her medical degree from Ross University. Born and raised in India, she enjoys cooking Indian food and listening to Punjabi folk music. She has special interest in herbals and ayurvedic medicine.

  6. Mateusz Zagata MD

    Mateusz Zagata, M.D. holds a bioengineering degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a medical degree from Jagiellonski University, Poland. He plays piano and has performed on violin. A family man, he enjoys history, travel and politics.

Second year

  1. Kyle Hunter MD

    Kyle Hunter, MD, is an Eagle Scout, married, and the father of four children. He tells us, “I wish to be a vital part of a residency program enthusiastically committed to the community and medical education. I hope to be able to inspire patients with a confidence and desire to actively participate in their own personal health care and well-being.”

  2. Oscar Padilla MD

    Oscar Padilla, MD is married to Rebecca Padilla, MD who completed her residency in pediatrics in August, 2010. Oscar says, “As a young boy growing up as a migrant worker, I lived...where my family never had the opportunity to see a doctor, especially my mother who never had the opportunity to see a doctor during 8 of her 10 pregnancies...and my father died at a young age...The ability to retard or prevent the manifestations of disease inspires me as well as the challenge of caring for a broad spectrum of ailments.”

  3. Laila Siddiqui MD

    Laila Siddiqui, MD has been published in Arthritis & Rheumatism and online at www.aacrmeetingabstracts.org

    Laila says, “Primary care fosters the development of lifelong doctor-patient relationships. These interactions are integral in promoting better health. I hope one day to use these skills in a humanitarian setting, providing care to people around the world, as my parents have done with the Global Medical foundation.”

  4. Michael Ward MD

    Michael Ward, MD operates The Tree Frog: tree removal, climbing, and trimming, in Arlington VA.

    While on a mission trip to Argentina, Michael says “I found meaning in service and a passion for life. Much of my time was spent in villages and small farm towns... Many of the basic needs of the people were not met in the rural areas. Access to medicine, supplies or even religious services were scarce... I came to realize that in order for me to be of any significant help, I would need to have a variety of skills.”

  5. Heather Wood MD

    Heather Wood is a native of Sussex, Wisconsin. She earned her B.S. in Medical Science and a certificate in Gerontology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and remained in Madison for medical school. As an undergraduate, she became interested in community health and did an internship at the Center for Urban Population Health through the Milwaukee Area Health Education Center. During medical school, she served as a teaching assistant twice, instructing undergraduates in Human Physiology and other medical students in Gross Anatomy. In her spare time, she enjoys camping, fishing, crocheting, and spending time with her husband and son.

    Heather says, "A provider needs to know her patients intimately to develop an optimal treatment plan. As a family physician, I will be able to cultivate a therapeutic partnership with my patients so they know me well and can rely on me through minor... as well as major life events.'"
