Bio
Ildi Martonffy, MD (she/her/hers) is the Vice Chair for Education and DFMCH’s designated institutional officer for graduate medical education. Martonffy served as the DFMCH Madison residency program director from 2017-2023. She is board certified and has worked with federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) in south-central Wisconsin throughout her career in a setting where she has also enjoyed teaching. She maintains an active clinical practice at the Wingra Family Medical Center, an FQHC serving patients in the heart of Madison.
Martonffy has received teaching awards and awards for supporting resident wellness within DFMCH. She has also received community leadership awards, most notably a distinguished service award from the Breastfeeding Coalition of South Central Wisconsin for her work in helping to form and grow the coalition.
Martonffy has authored several book chapters and many refereed publications. She has often mentored junior faculty members in the writing process.
Clinical Interests
Martonffy’s clinical interests include mental health, partnering with patients to help them meet their health goals, and supporting patients through life transitions.
