Congratulations to Allison Couture, DO, MPA (Assistant Professor, CHS) on being selected as a 2024 Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) New Faculty Scholar. The program is highly competitive and recognizes outstanding leadership potential and a commitment to academic family medicine. Couture is one of only fourteen individuals selected in 2024. She will present a “Brief Therapeutic Techniques for Family Medicine Physicians and Nutrition-Based Health Communications to Affect Behavior Changes in Children Works-in-Progress” poster at the 2024 STFM Annual Spring Conference in May 2024.
The STFM New Faculty Scholar Program includes a year of coaching, learning, and networking opportunities with senior leadership and other new faculty, training through regular virtual sessions relating to scholarship, and funding support to present at the organization’s annual spring conference.
STFM is a national community of academic leaders committed to developing a family medicine workforce prepared to serve as the foundation of America’s health care system. STFM members include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, behavioral health specialists, researchers, nurses, health system executives, administrators, fellows, residents, students, and others involved in the education of family physicians.
