Bio
Thomas Hahn, MD (he/him/his) grew up in rural Wisconsin and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He is from a family of educators so has always had an interest in educating patients about their health as well as teaching learners.
Hahn attended medical school at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine Public Health and completed residency and an academic fellowship at the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. Hahn is faculty at the Verona Clinic where he provides full-scope care to families.
He has been involved in medical student education and residency education in various roles and currently serves as the residency program director. His teaching and academic interests include evidence-based medicine, oral health, leadership and mentorship, health equity, and medical learner support and coaching.
Clinical Interests
Hahn enjoys practicing full-scope family medicine and caring for families and patients of all ages. Some of his clinical interests include preventive health, mental health, community health, and procedures. He aims to provide inclusive care and help to improve health disparities.
Teaching Interests
Hahn enjoys working with medical students and residents. Some of his teaching and academic interests include oral health, evidence-based medicine, mentorship, and leadership development.
Research Interests
Hahn’s research and scholarly interests are related to medical education in the areas of educational tools and approaches, learner remediation, and health equity.
