Alexander Milsap, MD, is a UW Health doctor who specializes in family medicine and also is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Milsap diagnoses and treats children and adults of all ages.
As a family physician, Dr. Milsap sees patients with various medical issues. He treats issues ranging from common aches, pains and illnesses to chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies and diabetes, or even rare diseases and disorders. Dr. Milsap also evaluates and cares for children and adults during short or extended hospital stays.
Dr. Milsap enjoys getting to know his patients and families over time. He listens to and addresses their unique symptoms and changing health concerns. He educates patients about their conditions and care plans using clear language. Believing in shared decision-making, he collaborates with patients to develop solutions that can work for everyone involved.
In his free time, Dr. Milsap loves spending time with his family, cooking, traveling and golfing.
