Bio
Sheida Pourdashti, MD (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH in 2025 as a resident. Pourdashti attended the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health where she was a student leader of the Medical Students for Minority Concerns group and where she served as a volunteer in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, advocating for inclusive practices and addressing minority health challenges.
Pourdashti also served as a program assistant in the Health Professions Shadowing Program and as a Health Occupations and Professions Exploration program mentor. These roles helped her develop strong mentorship and leadership skills while fostering diversity and community involvement.
Pourdashti completed the Path of Distinction in Public Health and was involved in research throughout all four years of medical school with a focus on global health. She also developed and led an afterschool curriculum for students at the Dane County Boys and Girls Club that provided accessible resources to support young children’s well-being and addressed socioeconomic factors in health education.
Outside of medicine, Pourdashti enjoys reading, traveling, baking, watching TV shows, and spending time with family and friends.
