Michael Williams earned his medical degree at the University of Colorado. He completed residency in family medicine at McKay-Dee Family Medicine Residency in Ogden, Utah. Following residency, he enjoyed practicing full-spectrum rural family medicine in Shawano, Wisconsin for sixteen years. He is passionate about preventive health and partnering with patients to develop lifestyles that optimize the health of their mind, body, and spirit. Mike has had an interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine since studying Chinese and living in China during his undergraduate education. During Medical School, he studied Guolin Qigong in an integrative cancer treatment program in Beijing, China. He has also completed training in acupuncture. Mike is pursuing further training with the Integrative Health Fellowship in part because of his interest in creating equitable models of care that better address the whole health of individuals and communities. In addition to participating in the Integrative Health Fellowship, he will also be working in the Yahara Integrative Family Medicine Clinic. Outside of medicine, Mike enjoys spending time with family, traveling, windsurfing, sailing and mountain biking.
