Randall Ballwahn

Bio

Randall Ballwahn (he/him) is the graduate medical education (GME) finance and contracts manager for DFMCH. He works closely with an education team that guides the graduate training of family medicine doctors, with emphasis on rural and other underserved communities.

Ballwahn serves as a liaison between the department’s residency programs, DFMCH finance, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health legal, and partner hospitals and health systems. He manages multiple budgets, establishes agreements with the clinical sites where resident physicians rotate, and is in charge of the reports that are submitted to Medicare for federal funding.

Ballwahn is a founder of the GME Finance Professionals Resource Group, a network of colleagues that can reach out to each other with questions, share information and ideas, and have a running conversation about GME finance.
