Bio
Kathryn “Kate” Breslin, MD (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH in 2025 as a resident. Breslin fell in love with family medicine because of the relationships with patients through all stages of life and strives to honor the dignity of all individuals through holistic, compassionate care.
Community service has long been a part of Breslin’s life, teaching her skills in empathy, compassion and the power of listening, which she now brings to her medical practice. Breslin’s desire to pursue medicine was deepened while working as a camp counselor for children with disabilities as an undergraduate student. During her time at SMPH, Breslin volunteered at MEDiC, a student-run free clinic providing care for underserved patients in Madison. She completed her clinical rotations throughout central and northern Wisconsin as part of the Wisconsin Academy for Rural Medicine (WARM). These rotations exposed her to a variety of communities throughout the state and their unique medical challenges.
Outside of medicine, Breslin enjoys spending time on the water with her family at their cabin in Michigan, being outdoors, running, playing pickleball, and going for long walks.
