Bio
Samantha Busch, MD (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH in 2025 as a resident. With a passion for community health, Busch is drawn to family medicine to support patients and families as a whole and advocate for accessible and affordable health care.
Samantha provided urban underserved care during medical school as part of the Training in Urban Medicine and Public Health (TRIUMPH) program. Prior to starting her medical education, Samantha served in AmeriCorps, where she participated in Medicaid outreach for un-housed individuals and residents of Dane County Jail.
Busch’s commitment to family medicine is evident by her broad involvement with family medicine organizations as a student, including serving as a UW FMIG leader, WAFP Foundation student director, AAFP regional coordinator, and STFM student member to the board of directors. She received the AAFP Pisacano Leadership Foundation Scholarship award in 2024 for demonstrating outstanding leadership and service.
Outside of medicine, Busch enjoys gardening, traveling, making holiday crafts, listening to music, and traveling with her family.
