Bio
Catherine Cogley, DO, MA (she/her/hers) joined DFMCH in 2025 as a resident. Cogley is interested in family medicine because of the meaningful connections she can make with patients. She values patients holistically because every aspect of life can affect their health.
Cogley learned the importance of public health in communities while volunteering with the Clay County Public Health Center during college. She also volunteered with Care Beyond the Boulevard, a nonprofit organization that provides free health care to those in need in Kansas City. She learned the value of developing relationships and continuity of care while working as a certified nursing assistant in a long-term care facility, assisting its residents with the activities of daily living while collaborating with other medical professionals.
As a medical student, Cogley obtained her master of arts in bioethics with a focus on the ethics of using artificial intelligence for mental health care in rural communities.
Outside of medicine, Cogley enjoys soccer, running, reading mystery books, and baking.
