
Lee Dresang, MD
Lee Dresang, MD was awarded Family Physician of the Year by the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians (WAFP). Dresang was selected for his exceptional contributions to family medicine, including his unwavering dedication to the patients and communities he serves, his leadership in advancing excellence in family medicine, and his expertise in women’s health, pregnancy, newborn care, and managing obstetrical emergencies. He will be honored at the WAFP annual business meeting in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 13, 2026.
Dresang is the Family Centered Pregnancy Care conference chair and served on the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics advisory and editorial boards from 2004-2024. His professional interests include maternal-child health, Latinx health, international health, and rural health.
The Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians was established in 1948. It is the largest physician specialty group in Wisconsin with a mission to “promotes excellence and equity in health for all people in Wisconsin through the advancement of the art and science of family medicine.”
