Bio

Kathleen Maher, BA (she/her) is the PROTEA outreach manager. She leads PROTEA’s medication for opioid use disorder training efforts with a focus on the popular substance use disorders management boot camps. She additionally leads the program’s community engagement efforts.

Maher has successfully organized conferences for health care professionals throughout the state of Wisconsin with a focus on enhancing provider confidence and competencies related to the management of substance use disorders. Her passion lies in outreach, forging connections, and building relationships that will ultimately improve outcomes for those affected by harm related to unhealthy substance use.
