Congratulations to Linda Park, PhD (Postdoctoral Research Associate) on her induction to the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society. Dr. Park and four others will be honored at a ceremony on March 29th at the Pyle Center. The Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society recognizes outstanding scholarly achievement and promotes diversity and excellence in doctoral education and the prefessoriate and seeks to develop a network of preeminent scholars who serve as examples of scholarship, leadership, character, service, and advocacy for students who have been traditionally underrepresented in the academy.
Dr. Park’s passion for health equity drives her research focusing on health disparities and cultural determinants of health for immigrant and refugee families. Her current focus is on ensuring a mobile health app focusing on alcohol and wellness could be a useful tool for those in the BIPOC community as well as the majority white population in Wisconsin.
