Congratulationsto Rachel Grob, MA, PhD (Q-HER Director) and Jane Evered, PhD, RN (Investigator) on receiving a two-year, $100,000 research grant from the Moebius Syndrome Foundation. Their study, “Learning from Adults and Parents of Children Living with Moebius Syndrome: A Rigorous Qualitative Study,” will advance understanding and improve the lives of individuals and families affected by Moebius syndrome.

Q-HER Lab investigators will attend the foundation’s conference in Salt Lake City, Utah this summer to connect with Moebius syndrome researchers and people living with Moebius syndrome. Grob and Evered will disseminate their findings at the foundation’s 2027 scientific symposium, family conference, and hosted webinar.

The Qualitative and Health Experiences Research (Q-HER) Lab conducts rigorous qualitative and mixed methods research with the goal of making health and health care experiences more equitable and person-centered. Grob is a distinguished scientist whose work focuses on listening to people’s experiences and synthesizing their narratives to create a source for making concrete changes that benefit consumers, families, clinicians, and communities. Evered is a registered nurse and action researcher passionate about qualitative approaches to inquiry.
