Vincent Minichiello, MD, ABOIM

Vinny Minichiello, MD, ABOIM, was selected as the 2026 Emerging Leader in Integrative Medicine & Whole Health by the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health. This award, supported by the Dr. Melinda Ring Future Leaders in Integrative Medicine Fund, recognizes early-career clinicians and/or educators advancing integrative medicine and whole health within academic health centers and health systems. Minichiello is the associate director of education for the Osher Center for Integrative Health at University of Wisconsin–Madison and the University of Wisconsin Department of Family Medicine and Community Health academic integrative health fellowship co-director.

Minichiello is co-chair of the Task Force for Integrative Medicine Fellowship Core Competencies on behalf of the Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health and served as chair of the 2025 Osher Collaborative for Integrative Health virtual symposium.  He has facilitated the education of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care professionals in self-care, integrative health, and medical culture transformation as the national co-course director of three VA courses. He is an associate editor of the Integrative Medicine, Fifth Edition textbook.

The Academic Consortium for Integrative Medicine & Health advances the practice of whole health with leading expertise in research, clinical care, and education. Along with their 80 member institutions, they aim to transform the health care system by promoting integrative medicine and health for all.
