Family Medicine Center
UW Health Fox Valley Family Medicine
UW Health Fox Valley Family Medicine is located in downtown Appleton, halfway between Appleton Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital. Its 10,000 patients represent a well-balanced mix of medical concerns, economic and cultural groups, and ages.
The clinic's 75 staff members include family medicine faculty, mid-level clinicians, a clinical psychologist, and a health educator.
The clinic was extensively expanded and remodeled in 1999.
Features include:

- Over 31,000 square feet;
- 23 exam rooms;
- Three special procedure rooms;
- A mental health suite;
- A quiet study area and social area specially designed for resident use;
- Library and health education resource area; and
- On-site laboratory and x-ray.

Specialized areas of excellence at AMC include:
- The Appleton Heart Institute;
- A new comprehensive Cancer Center;
- A regional Sleep Disorders Center;
- A Wellness and Rehabilitation Center; and
- A Collaborative Care Unit.
Resident rotations at AMC include the inpatient medicine teaching service, critical care medicine, surgery, and a variety of electives. AMC's colleague hospital, Theda Clark, in Neenah, is host to the Children's Hospital of Fox Valley, which offers enhanced pediatric and NICU training opportunities.
St. Elizabeth Hospital

St. Elizabeth Hospital is one of northeast Wisconsin's most comprehensive acute-care facilities. It has centers of excellence in:
- Women's health;
- Physical and neurologic rehabilitation;
- Trauma and cardiac care;
- Behavioral medicine; and
- Children's care.
Resident inpatient rotations at SEH include obstetrics, pediatrics, emergency care, surgery, and numerous electives.
Other Training Sites
Clinical learning sessions are offered at a variety of additional sites, including:
- Individual preceptor/specialists' offices;
- The LaSalle Surgical Center;
- The Groth Surgery Center;
- The Fox Cities Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center;
- Brewster Village, a skilled nursing facility and the program's teaching nursing home; and
- The Fox Valley Planned Parenthood Clinic.
