Congratulations to Briana Krewson, DO, MPH (Postgraduate Trainee 3) on receiving an American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) 2025 Award for Excellence in Graduate Medical Education! Created in 1952, this award honors residents for their exemplary patient care, interpersonal relationships, and demonstrated leadership and community involvement. Only twelve residents are selected nationally each year. Krewson will be honored at the 2025 Family Medicine Experience conference this October in Anaheim, California.

As a resident, Krewson has generated curriculum for DO and MD residents to gain osteopathic skills, participated in development of a narrative-based medicine conference, written resolutions to advocate for resident-level needs from the ACOFP, and pursued additional training in lifestyle medicine. She remains passionate about supporting health in her community by building long-term relationships with patients at both their healthiest and most vulnerable moments.

Krewson will also be honored as the 2025 American Osteopathic Foundation/American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians Outstanding Resident of the Year in Family Medicine this September.
