Randall Brown, MD, PhD, DFASAM – ECHO Director – Associate professor at UW Madison within the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health. He is also the program director for PROTEA, UW Center for Addictive Disorders, and the UW Addiction Medicine Fellowship Programs.
Sheila Weix MSN, RN, CARN – Panel Member – Director of Substance Abuse Services at Marshfield Clinic Health System. She has decades of experience in the provision of SUD services across the continuum of care including acute and ambulatory medical services, with several funded grants focused on addressing the needs of those with SUD.
Lindsey Peterson, MS, CRC – Panel Member – Lindsey Peterson has a Master of Science in Rehabilitation Psychology and is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor in the state of Wisconsin. She has worked for the UW–Madison Department of Family Medicine and Community Health on research and outreach projects involving women and substance use disorders, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, and youth with disabilities in the youth justice system. She serves as the Rehabilitation Counselor on the Project ECHO team.
Susan Mindock, LPC, CSAC – Panel Member – Behavioral Health Therapist with UW Health, Center for Addictive Disorders. She provides inpatient consultations at University Hospital, AFCH and The American Center. She also provides outpatient consultation to the UW Health Transplant Program.
Paul Hutson, PharmD, BCOP – Panel Member – Pharmacist and professor in the UW- Madison School of Pharmacy. His clinical practice is in palliative medicine and oncology, and his current research is in symptom management and the therapeutic use of psychedelics.
Ritu Bhatnagar, MD, MPH – Panel Member – Addiction Psychiatrist and Medical Director at UnityPoint Health-Meriter/NewStart. She does inpatient consult services, outpatient dual diagnosis treatment, community ventures- Medicaid Advisory Committee, Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship
Kelly Eagen, MD – Panel Member – Assistant Professor at UW- Madison in the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Program. She provides addiction medicine care at UW Hospital, Access Community Health Centers and the UW Pain Clinic, in addition to teaching responsibilities for medical students, residents and fellows through the School of Medicine and Public Health.
Elizabeth Salisbury-Afshar, MD, MPH – Panel Member – Family medicine/addiction medicine/public health physician who is an Associate Professor at the UW – Madison, Department of Family Medicine and Community Health where she delivers inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment services. She has worked clinically in FQHCs for the past 10 years in addition to serving in public health roles in Baltimore and Chicago.
