The DFMCH is grateful to Dr. Martin and Charlotte Gallagher, who in November 2017 made a new donation to the Dr. Martin and Charlotte Gallagher Scholarship for Prolotherapy.

Their support enables the DFMCH to educate more UW residents and fellows on the principles and practice of prolotherapy through participation in the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation conference and service-learning trip to Honduras.

The donation also allows the DFMCH to expand much-needed efforts in prolotherapy research. Specific plans include further investigation into the mechanism of action of prolotherapy, and how that might help people with low-back pain, knee osteoarthritis and other painful conditions.
