Alexandra Adams, MD, PhD, Granted Tenure
Contributors: Jim Davis, MD, MSThe Department of Family Medicine (DFM) congratulates Assistant Professor Alexandra Adams, MD, PhD, who was unanimously granted tenure by the University of Wisconsin–Madison in February.
Dr. Adams’ tenure was approved by a 9–0 vote, with one technical abstention. The committee that reviewed her application was impressed with her research and scholarship and her contributions to the university and the state.
Dr. Adams, who practices at the UW Pediatric Fitness Clinic in Madison, is known for an outstanding research program that works to prevent obesity, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes among American Indian children in Wisconsin.
The department extends its heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Adams, her research team, and all those who have supported, encouraged, and mentored her. Without your hard work and effort, we wouldn’t be celebrating this major accomplishment.
