The Department of Family Medicine welcomes the arrival of Judy Atkinson as our new Director of Human Resource Services. Judy worked in Human Resource Services at Midwest Airlines Inc. for about fourteen years, ten of which were in training and high level HR positions. She has most recently worked with the Office of State Employee Relations, where she was an Executive Human Resource Specialist involved in recruitment and retention. Judy has a real “can do” attitude and will be instrumental in guiding our Human Resource Services department into the future. We are very excited to have her.

The DFM Fitness Matters Committee announced the 2007 winner of the “Travelin’ Tennie Trophy.” Team Alumni Hall collectively exercised their way to taking the trophy from Team Eau Claire. This ignited the competitive fires, and Team Eau Claire tossed out the gauntlet. Don’t pack away those tennis shoes yet, we need to stay in training for 2008. Watch for information through the cold and snowy winter months on fun ways to stay in shape and eat healthy through the holidays.
