Maddie Batzli

Maddie Batzli, BA, is a Health Equity Coordinator at the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at UW. Maddie brings a passion for emergent social change and an eye toward equity in their work with the department. As a member of the DFMCH’s Office of Community Health and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee, Maddie works on internal needs assessments and quality improvement projects, leads discussions, and facilitates practice and culture change initiatives, all with the goal of using an equity lens to shift academic health system decision-making toward a culture of co-creation with people from historically marginalized backgrounds. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys playing with their band, spending time outdoors, and being in community with friends and family.
