The Native American Center for Health Professions (NACHP), directed by the DFM’s Erik Brodt, MD, received a five-year, $975,000 federal grant to attract more American Indian students to health careers.

Through collaborations with five Wisconsin tribal communities and UW student programs, the NACHP will nurture American Indian students through all phases of the educational continuum: pre-college, college and health professional education.

Their work will increase the number of American Indian health professionals dedicated to serving the Native population and promoting the health of Native communities.
